We enJOY our crafters!

December marks our 1st anniversary as "SOTSS Crafts!"  Just last December, eight of us were huddled in my small dining/craft room creating Christmas themed deco mesh wreaths. Krysten and I had no idea where our crafting business would take us, but we knew that we had supportive families and amazing friends to encourage us along the way.  As a special thank you, Krysten and I planned just the craft party to show our appreciation.

Our menu included a knockoff of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana soup, ham biscuits, French Quarter cheese spread, brownies, and carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting!  DELICIOUS!!!!

After our appetites were satisfied, the crafting began.  Each person received the letters J-O-Y.  They could use any and all combinations of paint, Mod Podge, scrapbooking paper, fabric, ribbon, twine, bells, and GLITTER - It isn't a craft party without GLITTER!

As always, there were tons of laughs!  Kristen gave us a good laugh with her Christmas sweater...

...and Brie and Lindsay with their strategizing....
 ...what about Jessica's sparkle...
Can you see it....can you see it?

There was some seriousness happening too!  Look at how magnificent these turned out:

Ladies, from the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate your friendship, support, and encouragement as we follow our dreams in growing SOTSS Crafts into a business that will reach many ladies and inspire them to find their inner craftiness!  Thank you for filling this year full of laughter and SPARKLE!  We are looking forward to crafting with you again soon.

BTW...Brie thinks we should make garters at the next craft party!

A little catchin' up to do....

My apologies for neglecting the blogging world.  This holiday season has greeted us with a full crafting schedule, which we are so grateful for!  Unfortunately, though, I have not stopped long enough to post about our parties!  So, on this chilly Saturday evening, I am cuddled up on the lounge, ready to catch you up on our holiday happenings!

November 21st, Krysten and I helped Tina host the Illuminated Canvas craft party at the Junior League of Hampton Roads headquarters here in Newport News, VA.  The final products were definitely something to be proud of:

Tina, thank you for setting up this party!  We were so glad to meet everyone and get to know you as you created your spectacular projects!

On November 23rd, we traveled over to Poquoson, VA to help Jennifer host a Bubbly Burlap Christmas Wreath party!   Can you believe that most of these ladies had never made a wreath before?  You would've never known!

Jennifer, we appreciate you opening your home and sharing your friends with us!  We hope that you craft with us again soon!

Krysten and I took Thanksgiving off to spend time with family.  My family traveled to New Jersey and Krysten spent time with family in Poquoson.  After a small vacation, we came back to our day job with a renewed sense of energy (or we knew we only had a few more weeks until our Winter Break - just keep swimming, just keep swimming!), and our craft party line up with lights and sparkle!

On December 6th, Beverly invited her friends over to create illuminated canvases that will add just the right amount of holiday cheer to their Christmas decor! This craft sure does take stamina - but the end result really leaves you feeling happy!

Beverly, thanks for sharing your friends with us!  We had a great time.
