Krysten and I are elated about the number of people that are interested in joining us for our upcoming Craft Night - TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Our goal, at first, was to ask 10 of our friends/co-workers to join us, but then the number kept growing and growing. We are expecting 18 people!
Remember Louis? The really kind guy who cut our wood at Home Depot? We had to visit him again to get more wood cut, and BOY was he excited to see us! We thanked him over and over again because he didn't charge us any extra to make several cuts. We turned on our Southern twang and charm! Our conversation went something like this:
Krysten and Courtney:" Oh Louis, you are the best! Our craft party is going to be so great because of you! Thank you so much for cutting our wood. Our husbands really appreciate it too!
Louis:"Do you girls do much on the computer?"
Krysten and Courtney: "Just checking email, facebook, nothing too hard."
Louis: "Will you go onto homedepot.com and tell my bosses what you think of me. I get $50 for
every four compliments I receive."
K/C: "I hope that they don't give you the $50 in Home Depot gift cards."
Louis: "Oh, no. They put it in my check."
K/C: "Then they tax you and you get a little extra - enough to buy yourself a cold soda!"
Louis: Shaking his head and grinning, "Yah!"
Krysten and I assured him that we would definitely go home and drop a kind word about our wood cutter at Home Depot! We said that our husbands should do it too because they were thankful that cutting wood wasn't on their "Honey Do" list.
Stay tuned for pictures of our craft night! I can't wait for everyone to arrive!

Daydreaming
Girls can dream, can't they? The excitement for our upcoming craft party is reigniting our dream to one day own a "Crafting House." Krysten and I often discuss the hues that we would paint the walls, the furniture that would fill the open concept space, the delicious food we would serve, and the crafts that family, friends, and friends-of-friends would create. How cool would it be to spend our days communicating with potential sponsors, testing out projects/products, advertising our "experience," and shopping at artsy stores! At this time, of course, this is only a dream....maybe one day though....maybe one day!

Krysten and I ventured out to Lowe's, Home Depot and Michael's tonight (kid free) to gather up supplies for our upcoming craft party! We're making personalized coat racks, so we had to pick up the essentials: hooks, wood, and paint. We encountered a WIN/LOSE situation at Lowe's. After finding the right hooks, and the right number of hooks, we moved on to the wood section where we lugged down (3) 1in x 8in x 10ft wood planks only to find out that the saw was broken! Back to the wood section to put the planks back! I guess that counts as a workout...yep, I think so! Thankfully, we found our wood, and a working saw at Home Depot. Louis cut our wood into 22in planks. Oh Louis, he was sweet! We even were asked a common question: "Are y'all sisters? - Twins?" Hehe! Krysten and I are very excited for our craft party!
