Burgers, Brews, and Baubles - Kristen's Craft Party!

You know, some people come into your life, and you just don't know what you would do without them.  I consider Kristen one of those friends!  She is so caring, kind, quirky (in a good way) and fun to be around!  We were lucky enough to met Kristen through Coastal Strength and Fitness - she kills it at the gym - and she quickly became one of our crafting friends!  She joined us for several craft parties (wreaths, nail and thread art, ruffled aprons), and then she approached us, in August, about throwing a Christmas wreath craft party in October. Sure, why not?  She told us that she only gets one party a year, and she wanted to make this party THE PARTY!  So, the planning began: What would we eat? What would we drink?  What would we listen to?

Kristen started her collection...

...and we started ours (four carts of BALLS!)...

...in August - you should have seen the looks we got at Hobby Lobby!

Finally, the day arrived - the day of the PARTY OF THE YEAR -  Burgers, Brews, and Baubles!
Kristen's husband, Dustin, grilled some delicious, juicy pounder hamburgers (Burger King has nothing on Dustin's grillin' skills!).  Everything looked so delicious: lettuce, tomatoes, and all of the hamburger fixin's, several flavor of chips, apples/pears and peanut butter dip, Elizabeth's pumpkin bars, and Krysten's magic cookie bars made an appearance too! YUM!  Not to mention the variety of brews available!

Each person was given a reusable shopping bag (because Kristen loves Mother Earth) to place their chosen balls (80 large balls, and approximately 54 small balls).  Then, the hot glue guns were fired up and the gluing began!

Check out these masterpieces:

Kristen, we had so much fun helping you throw one heck of a party!  The food was delicious and the company was even better!  Maybe we've convinced Dustin to let you have another party soon!  Thank you for supporting us in the gym and with our craft parties!

Spooooktacular Wreath Party!

Today, we were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with old and new friends while we made spooky and down right "Boo-tiful" bubbly wreaths!  Krysten prepared delicious buffalo turkey meatballs, Texas caviar (thanks Ann for the pinterest post), pasta salad, country ham biscuits, and OREO TRUFFLES!  YUM!!!  Of course, I forgot to take a picture of our cutsie Halloween themed tablescape!

After we grabbed a bite to eat, everyone claimed their embellishments and began to gather, puff, and pin their mesh to the straw wreath.  Chesney was our lovely assistant.  She was in charge of distributing the floral pins, and she did a wonderful job!  Thanks Chesney!

You would've thought that these ladies worked at your local craft store.  They were finished with their wreaths in record time! Check out their finished products:

Thank you so much for attending today's craft party!  We are always so impressed with our crafters' known/unknown creativity!

On November 1st, we will create illuminated canvases using paint, sharpie markers, and mini Christmas lights.  We hope you'll join us!
